- I called them on the phone yesterday, and was told that
-
- 1) To upgrade a Power 28.8 to 33.6, I had to send the modem
- back, and pay a $99 charge.
-
- 2) The resulting modem is not the same as a Premier 33.6. It
- lacks a few of the features.
-
- 3) There is no way to purchase a 33.6 Power modem - I have to
- buy a 28.8 version, then send it back for a $99 upgrade.
-
- 4) The Premier external is shipping, but the internal version
- is not.
-
- Of course, I've heard rumors elsewhere that the Powers will be upgradeable to
- 33.6 via a flash ROM upgrade in 6 months or so.
